Clementine Macarons with Orange Buttercream Filling

Oh my goodness! Yum! Just the name of these macarons is mouthwatering... never mind these GORGEOUS photos by The Pleasure Monger to show them off.

How fabulous is that use of typography superimposed over detailed food photograpy? Foodie bloggers, take note! Typography can be a powerful selling point to your food photos.

Matcha and Peach Pate de Fruits Macarons

I love Matcha.
And I love Peaches....

So how about this combination? Matcha and Peach Macarons! This blogger even goes above and beyond by making her own "pate de fruits" (peach candy) for the filling. No kidding, people. She MADE those peach candies pictured below!

Wasabi and strawberry flavored macarons?

Sure! Why not! This blogger presents us with an unsual flavoring combo... A strawberry flavored macaron cookie filled with wasabi white chocolate buttercream, garnished with freeze dried raspberries, chopped pistachios or toasted sesame seeds. An alternative filling suggested is rose flavored jam.

The blogger also suggests using edible glitter to give your macarons a little something extra.

Macarons a la Cerise

These macarons seem to calmly exude a french sophistication... Cherry macarons filled with chocolate ganache or 'macarons a la cerise.'

Since the macaron is traditionally a french invention, it seems fitting to link to a french recipe. Especially one as delicious looking as this.

  Bon appetit!

Do you notice how the festive color and presentation help to set the mood for a party? One of the wonderful things about macarons is their VERSATILITY. You can keep them simple, or go wild with the colors and flavors! It all depends on your culinary choices and your presentation.
